What worked for us last year was:
- One practice per week
- Two games per week
- We try to stay away from Fridays.
- Last year, games ran roughly from 5pm-8pm (this is a broad time frame)
- 5:00pm for a small practice before the game. Games started at 5:30. Depending on the age group, they ended around 7:30pm
- We had some away games in Castlegar and Salmo, and home games in BV and Montrose.
- We ran fall ball from Sept - October
- We ran Winter indoor skills training.
What is new this year:
- We are hoping to book a field in Trail to start team practices as early as April.
- We have applied to have two fields at the BV location. (next to the concession and by the arena).
- As an idea, we will have U15 & U17 in Montrose and U9-U13 in BV.
- We brought to the planning group the idea of more evenly spreading the games across teams (so you don’t play the same team over and over).
- We are working on NEW JERSEYS!
- We are connecting with the Village of Fruitvale to hopefully improve the fields with some help from volunteers
